A recklessly driven private bus rammed into an autorickshaw near the Sankar’s Hospital Junction on the National Highway 208 in the city on Tuesday evening. The driver of the autorickshaw, Radhakrishna Pillai who was seriously injured in the accident was referred from the District Hospital here to Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
The autorickshaw had no passengers at the time of the accident. Eye witnesses said that the private bus was over speeding and recklessly driven. The bus swerved to the right and rammed into the on-coming autorickshaw. The front portion of the autorickshaw got totally mangled in the accident. The Kollam East Police have registered a case.
