KUHS registrar arrested in Thrissur

Thrissur Vigilance sleuths arrested Kerala University of Health Sciences Registrar V. Ipe Varghese on Thursday. The arrest follows an investigation into the allegation that he received bribe for giving some printing contract of the university. A sting operation by a TV news channel showed the registrar accepting money from a person. Though he agreed that he had received Rs.5,000, he insisted that the person was returning the money that was borrowed from him.

He will be produced at the court on Friday.
