BJP sees a plot in TPC murder case

September 12, 2013 12:36 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 09:18 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged on Wednesday that Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan had conspired to undermine the case against 20 persons who had allegedly helped the accused in the T.P. Chandrasekharan murder case. The party smelled a rat in the acquittal of the 20 persons against the backdrop of the twist in the Opposition’s agitation over the solar scam.

In a statement here, BJP spokesperson V.V. Rajesh said the inquiry officers and the prosecution had not cared to collect evidence against the acquitted persons and find witnesses with integrity. The Home Department did not act though it knew that threats and inducements would be used against the witnesses in the case.
