BDJS, a damp squib, says Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

April 16, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - KOLLAM:

CPI(M) State secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said the birth of the Bharat Dharna Jana Sena (BDJS) of the SNDP Yogam is the result of a conspiracy hatched to weaken the LDF.

“But that conspiracy has failed since the BDJS turned to be a damp squib in the local body elections.” Mr. Balakrishan said this while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the convention for the LDF Eravipuram candidate M. Noushad on Friday.

He said that the militant Hindutva policies of the RSS cannot and would not be accepted by members of the Ezhava community.

Inflated balloons

He said that the BJP had now fully understood that the SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan and the BDJS were nothing but inflated balloons.

After understanding this truth, the BJP had now started sideling both Mr. Natesan and the BJDS.

Rising prices

The UDF rule of the State for the past five years had only served to trap the people in a cauldron of rising prices.

The previous LDF government, Mr. Balakrishnan said, had continuously intervened in the public distribution system as a result of which price rise could be successfully controlled.
