: When a rescue worker was seen rushing with an injured person on his shoulder, people around the Kerala Police Academy at Ramavarmapuram, on Monday got curious. Tension was relieved when they realised that it was an awareness programme on rescue operations.

Arakkonam-based National Disaster Response Force Battalion conducted demonstration of rescue operations at Thekkinkadu maidan and at Kerala Police Academy on Monday.

The demonstration was conducted to create awareness on security measures and various kinds of rescue operations among people. The team will conduct such demonstrations at various places in the district till November 27.
