The Town East Police on Thursday arrested two persons on charges of attempting to molest a woman.
The arrested were identified as Davis of Maylipadam and Babu of Lalur. According to the police, the accused tried to molest the woman from Vadakara, who was travelling along with her husband, in the city around 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The accused attacked the husband and tried to molest the woman.
Hearing the cries of the woman, people nabbed the two and handed them over to the police. Both were in an inebriated state. A case of attempt to rape has been taken against the culprits, the police said. — Staff Reporter
