Former Vice-Chancellor of Manipal University B.M. Hegde has said efforts for a corruption-free society should begin by changing the education system.
Delivering the second Madhava Baliga Memorial oration here on Thursday, Dr. Hegdesaid the education system was corrupt and the system did not bring out the best in the child. Referring to unethical practices in the medical field, Dr. Hegde said all cancer research today was drug-oriented and a ‘fraud’. Medical business was the biggest business today, he said.
