40 candidates in 5 segments of Pathanamthitta

With the deadline for withdrawing nominations for the Assembly elections coming to a close on Wednesday, a total of 40 candidates remained in fray in the five constituencies of Thiruvalla, Ranni, Aranmula, Konni and Adoor in Pathanamthitta district.

According to an official release issued here on Wednesday evening, the candidates contesting in the district are:

Thiruvalla : Kurien Joseph (BSP); Mathew T. Thomas (Janata Dal-S); Rajan Moolaveettil (BJP); Victor T. Thomas (Kerala Congress-M); Radhamony S. (SUCI); Samkutty Jacob (SDPI); Niranom Rajan (Independent); and S. Radhakrishnan (Independent).

Ranni : Peelipose Thomas (Congress); Raju Abraham (CPI-M); V.D. Sajimon (BSP); Suresh Kadambari (BJP); Ibrahimkutty (SDPI); Ulakan Thevan (Independent); and S. Radhakrishnan (Independent).

Aranmula : T. Amrithakumar (BSP); K.C. Rajagopalan (CPI-M); K. Sivadasan Nair (Congress); K. Haridas (BJP); Nazaruddin (SDPI); K.V. Varghese (Social Action Party); D. Sivadasan Achary (Independent); and Sugathan R. (Independent).

Konni : Adoor Prakash (Congress-I); M.S. Rajendran (CPI-M); V.S. Harish Chandran (BJP); Lekshmi R. Shekhar (SUCI); Renjini C.T. (Independent); Thattayil Saraswathi (Independent); and Cinto Stephen (Independent).

Adoor : Chittayam Gopakumar (CPI); Kodumon Ramachandran (BSP); K.K. Sasi (BJP); Pandalam Sudhakaran (Congress-I); Anil K. (Independent); Ramanan (Independent); Piravanthoor Sreedharan (Independent); and Olikkulangara Surendran (Independent).
