31st Kottayam book fair to start on Jan. 30

: The 31st Kottayam international book fair will commence here on Friday, January 30. The 10-day exhibition will be inaugurated by Malayalam litterateur T. Padmanabhan, said Thomas Puthussery, director, Darsana Cultural Centre, the organisers of the book fair. The festival is being organised with the cooperation and involvement of National Book Trust, Mahatma Gandhi University, the district administration, Kottayam district panchayat and Kottayam Municipal Council, he said. More than 150 publishers will participate and nearly a million titles will be on display. The entry to the exhibition venue will be free for school students.

Along with the book exhibition, seminars, quiz competition, release of new titles, Kaviyarangu and cultural programmes have been organised.
