27 all-women polling stations in Kollam

Special police security in these stations; bed kits distributed to those deployed there

Polling officials took charge of their respective stations in the district by Sunday evening following the distribution of polling materials. For the 11 Assembly segments in the district there are 1,786 polling stations.

There are 27 all-women polling stations in the district. There are three all-women stations each in Karunagapally, Kunnathur, Kollam, Eravipuram, and Chathannur. The remaining constituencies have two all-women polling stations each.

The all-women stations in Kollam constituency are No. 62 Government Women’s ITI Manayilkulangara; No. 96, St. Aloysius HSS and No. 108 Saint Joseph’s Convent HS. At Eravipuram constituency, TKM College of Engineering (No. 6), Government SNDP UPS Pattathanam (47), and Government VHSS Eravipuram (94).

At Chathannur the all-women polling stations are NSS HSS Mampalikunnam (40), Government HS, Chathannur (46), and Amritha Sanskrit HSS Paripally (142). In Karunagapally constituency, the all-women polling stations are St. Joseph’s UPS Clapana (32), Vivekananda HSS Changankulangara (47) and Welfare UPS Karunagapally (119). The all-women polling stations in Kunnathur constituency are GLPS Anayadi (6), GLPS Eravichira (75) and SCV LPS, Mynagapally South (105). The all-women polling stations in Chavara constituency are Government HSS Chavara (25) and Government VHSS Kottamkulangara (53). In Kottarakara constituency the polling stations are Mannam Memorial English School, Padinjattinkara (75) and MN UPS, Nedumpaikulam (100). In Pathanapuram constituency, St. Stephen’s HS (30) and Government LPS Nadukunnu (45) are the all-women polling stations.

At Punalur constituency the all-women polling stations are AMM HS Karavaloor (43) and Government High School, Anchal West (61). At Chadayamangalam, Government LPS Velinellur (3) and Government UPS Nilamel (60) are the all-women polling stations and at Kundara, KGV UPS Elampallur (48), and TKM Arts College, Karikode (93).

The Collector said that special police security arrangements have been made for the all-women polling stations. The women deployed in these stations had been provided with bed kits.
