The district election authority has identified 113 problem-prone polling booths in the district and arrangements have been made for webcasting the poll process at these centres, District Collector S. Harikishore has said.

He said the Akshaya Mission and the National Informatics Centre would arrange webcasting and the network facility would be provided by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. There are 892 polling booths in the district.

Meanwhile, the Collector has started writing letters to voters in the district as part of the election authority’s mission to raise the polling percentage above 80.

The administration has started sending voice SMS, in association with the BSNL, to the voters, inviting their attention to the importance of exercising their franchise in the Assembly elections.
