Congress, on Saturday, hit out at activist Arvind Kejriwal for levelling charges of financial wrongdoing against people through the media and alleged that his only aim is to defame people.
“If he (Kejriwal) has any evidence he should go to the government or any government agency. Merely by levelling allegations before the media he can only defame somebody but cannot get anything substantial out of it. This shows that he is only interested in defaming people,” Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi told reporters.
He challenged that if Mr. Kejriwal has any genuine documents then he should hand them over to the government.
“If anybody has done anything wrong law will take its own course,” Mr. Alvi said.
Mr. Kejriwal had alleged, on Friday, that Congress MP from Unnao, Annu Tandon has a Swiss bank account in which she has illegally stashed Rs 125 crore. Ms. Tandon had denied the charge.
Asked about his source, Mr. Kejriwal had said it was a newly inducted minister in the Union Cabinet.
Mr. Alvi said on Saturday, that Mr. Kejriwal should disclose the name of the leader who revealed the details.

Why not congress take Kejriwal to court for defaming Congress Party if the party is confident their ranks did not involve in Hawala deals. This way they can put an end to Kejriwal's budding political carrier.
@sultan, hariharan and satheesh. Are you not living in this (currupt from toes to head)country? There is no smoke without a fire. Is it the duty of common man to collect evidences of a wrong doing he came to know? If you pass information police, CBI or any other investigation agencies about any irregularities in which a powerful person involved, what's usually happen they first inform the same person involved, then try to destroy evidences and at last trap the informer if his name and address is known in any false case to prevent further action. In our country AAM ADMI is helpless, POWERFUL MADAM decides everything.
Watergate would not have come out in the way we know it if the two reporters gave the
evidence to FBI or any of those Governmental agencies. It was the exposure through the
media and the public awareness that brought Nixon to impeachment. Similar conditions are
perceived by Kejeriwal and his actions are understandable in light of the Government's direct
influence over agencies such as CBI. Finally, the public has to be the custodians of the truth.
All other institutions are set up to serve them. He only needs to convince the authenticity of
the documents to the public in due course.
Also to whom he should go - to government run- CBI ( congress Bureau of Investigation) or to the court( where just a expensive Lawyer can control situations?) or to Vigilance wing( where people and bothered about the aam aadmi corruption) or to SIT( But swiss bank is not under their juridiction). Hope UPA Govt is ashamed or not afraid of defamation of its acts. If the Govt's acts are clean and nothing to be defamed of, and nobody can defame UPA Govt or Congress. Else is the situation, then Congress and UPA should be worried about getting defamed and ashamed off.

details of transactions were indicated, the concerned officer was
transferred, and favourable ones gave clean chit!That is what would
happen if any details of Black money are given.As long as the Ambanis

have apparatus to prove any wrongdoing by any individual,suppose if
IAC files any PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION then even after monitoring
of apex court it requires investing agency with minimum credibility
,but where is such agency which is suppose to be impartial,fast in

One is simultaneously intrigued and amused by this strange stand that
Congress has taken on Kejriwal and his 'revelations'. They condemn his
'shoot and scoot' tactics. Are they so impotent and defenseless that
they cannot prevent him from shooting or, having shot, stop him from
scooting? Does it not seem ridiculous to them that they should whine
about his getting away with shooting despite all the might at their
command? If his shooting is illegal, how can he scoot? He is coming
back at them every week! Now this report has Congress complaining that
Kejriwal's aim is only to defame people. So what are the "People"
doing? The laws of the land do provide against such defamation. Is it
not again ridiculous that no Congress leader, however big, has
actually filed for defamation but several of them bemoan his attacks

He should go and complain to any authorized government agency or court for such cases, not to the press, he is defaming people and wasting government time and public money. After exposing several high profile personalities that includes industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani, Jet Airways Chief Naresh Goyal and Congress MP Annu Tandon, of holding money in Swiss banks, IAC (India Against Corruption) Activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal would now target the judiciary. According to him several high profile cases were dragging on in the courts for several years without any decisive outcome. He doesn’t wish to move courts, because he feels that the Government can “manage” things there and moreover he feels that the judgement should come from the people, AAM ADM. It will not be surprising even if he exposes our corrupt and biased media.
If no exaggeration, Arvind Kejriwal is a gifted son of India at the present situation. He is not merely intellectual, but moving forward very carefully for the concern of India and all Indians. Till now there is no substantiation that he is doing all these things for self- interest. To cross the threshold into politics for the people, all the steps he has taken are in correct track Pro all the wrong doings eventually the AAM ADMI (people of India) is martyr. When the government initiated investigations on the basis on Kejriwal's complaint against
Gadkari why are they not doing the same now. Congress lost its credibility and its governing

1996 - everyone knows the corruption case against Mr Lallu Prasad Yadv will never see the
light of the day till he is alive.
I fully agree with the Congress on this. Kejriwal seems to adopt a hit and run
technique. He hasn't taken any of his so called 'exposes' to the next level. Defaming
people seems to be his only motive. It is high time someone called his bluff.
The comments from the government are as expected. Use the completely defunct system as a defense when in the first place it is the collusion of many such powerful entities that are allowing these type of frauds to take place. Why not the government come out with a transparent white paper about what it knew about the money stashed abroad, what actions it took and the results of these actions. I think that type of a response will show to the people that this government is equally concerned.
Instead of alleging that Kejriwal is defaming the people in higher ranks, will it not be
open for the Congress to take legal action against him if he is wrong? The defence

"Government agency"???. Do you have the sense that the allegations that he is pointing to is on the same people who rule "Government" or "Government agency". Its like expecting help from enemy(Corrupt Politicians) instead of your King(People of the country).

Mr. Alvi, All the documents of allegations are there on the India Against Corruption website. Please download and read. Why should anybody handover "genuine documents" to the government when government itself is having all the documents in its possession? Is there any document in India that the government wants and cannot have access to?
When there is no independent agency powerful enough to investigate ministers and MPs to whom should citizens of India go even when they have the so called "genuine documents"? So please stop fooling people with empty insincere talk.
It is the government's job to investigate and come out with proper follow up actions.
Government simply making lip service statements with out having any

Kejriwal should not disclose the name of the newly inducted leader for obvious
