Yoga Day programme in Raichur

As part of the second International Yoga Day, as many as 500 people who are already practising yoga in different institutions, schools and elsewhere would demonstrate yogic poses at Mahatma Gandhi Stadium here on Tuesday. Addressing a media conference at his office on Friday, Deputy Commissioner S. Sasikanth Senthil said that the event would be organised by the district administration in association with National Service Scheme, Bharat Sewa Dal, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Patanjali Yog Samiti, Swami Vivekananda Holistic Healthcare Centre, Senior Citizens’ Helpline Centre and BNW Patanjali Yoga Pratishtana.

As per the schedule, the demonstration would be held between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. followed by experts’ speeches and award distribution. Then the yoga practitioners would march through major streets of the city. Mr. Senthil appealed to the public to participate in large numbers.
