Yet another award for ‘Thithi’

The critically acclaimed film has now bagged the top Karnataka State Film Award

'Thithi' has been adjudged as the “Best Kannada Film” by the jury of the Karnataka State Film Awards for 2015.

'Thithi' has been adjudged as the “Best Kannada Film” by the jury of the Karnataka State Film Awards for 2015.

“Thithi”, the critically acclaimed Kannada film by director Raam Reddy, has been adjudged as the “Best Kannada Film” by the jury of the Karnataka State Film Awards for 2015. The film bagged the regional film award at the 63rd National Film Awards in March.

Besides bagging the honour, “Thithi” has also bagged the awards in the “Best Dialogue” (co-director Ere Gowda) and “Best Supporting Actor” (S.M. Pooja) categories.

Vijaya Raghavendra and Malashree have been chosen as the “Best Actor” and “Best Actress” awards for their performance in Shivayogi Sri Puttajjayya and Ganga respectively.

“Marikondavaru” by K. Shivarudraiah and “Maithri” by B.M. Giriraj have been chosen as the second and third “Best Films”, while “Shivayogi Sri Puttajjayya” and “Krishna Leela” have got the honour of “Best Social Concern” and “Best Entertainment Films”.

“Rangi Taranga”, which created record of sorts in Kannada cinema, has become the “Best Debut Film of the Director” and “Mane Modala Patashale” by M.T. Jayarama Reddy has been chosen as the “Best Children’s Film”.
