The followers of the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who are upset with their leader as well as the Bharatiya Janata Party for not giving them proper political accommodation, are set to make a decision on their next political move on Sunday.

M.D. Laxminarayan, MLC, who is spearheading the cause of this group of disappointed followers of Mr. Yeddyurappa, told The Hindu that all of them would meet in Bangalore on Sunday to make the crucial decision.

Accusing Mr. Yeddyurappa of letting them down though they had stood with him in his difficult times, Mr. Laxminarayan said they had now decided to part ways with the former Chief Minister as well as the BJP. Mr. Laxminarayan, who is also State president of the federation of weavers’ community, which accounts for a sizeable population, said prominent leaders of the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) had invited him to their organisations. “I am, however, yet to make a decision in this regard. I will discuss the issue with my supporters and other leaders before arriving at a decision on Sunday,” he said.
