Pallavi Shirahatti, the daughter of a weaver, was confident of acing the SSLC examination with high scores, but never expected a score of 625 on 625.

The results brought jubilation to Pallavi and her family, as she became one among the few students in the State to get maximum marks in all subjects.

Sharing her success secret, Pallavi says she spent 8 hours to 9 hours a day studying, mainly repeating daily portions, and never went to tuitions. “My teachers supported me and cleared my doubts. This made my efforts easier,” she says. Pallavi wishes to take the science stream in PU and desires to become a doctor. An elated Ravindra Shirahatti, her father, says his joy is beyond words.

“I try my best to provide better education to my children within my limited earnings. I am proud that my daughter has brought laurels to my family and Bagalkot district,” he says.
