“I’m highly disappointed with what is happening in the corporate sector today. Honesty is lacking and everyone seems to be going for quick fixes in the trade,” Governor H.R. Bhardwaj said on Friday.
He was talking at the 17th convocation of the IFIM Business School here.
Advice to graduates
Advising fresh business graduates to generate wealth with honesty, he said they should also consider themselves to be trustees of the country’s wealth.
Mr. Bhardwaj said he did not see quality graduates emerging from the country’s colleges and universities. “It is time we plunged into the global sphere... We need more business schools that deliver excellence,” he said.
171 conferred degrees
The Governor conferred postgraduate degrees in management on 171 students of the institute.
T.R. Subramanya, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Law University, who was the guest of honour, advised the graduating batch of students to carry out commerce with ethics. “Excellence in important in all aspects of life as one cannot thrive without it,” he said.
S. Bhaskaran, director of the IFIM Business School, was present.
