The Railway Central Hospital in Hubballi now has an upgraded dermatology clinic with modern medical equipment. It was formally inaugurated by president of SWR Women’s Welfare Organisation (SWRWWO) Neelima Saxena on Monday.

Briefing reporters about the facilities available at speciality clinic, Medical Director of the hospital M.N. Ramakanth said that the clinic would cater to the needs of the mounting number of patients with skin related problems. Chief Medical Director of South Western Railway Vilas K. Gunda said that Railway Central Hospital would have more speciality and super-speciality clinics in the coming days and called on railway employees to utilise the same.

Lauding the modern facilities set up at the speciality clinic, Ms. Saxena said that while lifestyle disorders and stress were affecting the health of the people, excessive use of cosmetics was also contributing to their health problems. Senior Divisional Medical Officer (Dermatology) Narayanaswamy proposed a vote of thanks. The other office bearers of SWRWWO including Preethi Dubey and Pallavi Raman, Senior Divisional Medical Officers Jamuna Kanakaraya and K. Malati, Chief Health Director I.B. Mujahid and others were present.
