Two teachers injured as car rams into bike

Two government school teachers sustained serious injuries when a car hit their motorcycle near K. Shettihalli on the Bengaluru–Mysuru highway, near Srirangapatna, in the district on Monday.

Basavaraju, head master at Government High School in Ganangur, and Madhura, physical education teacher in the same school, were going to the school when the accident occurred, the Srirangapatna town police said.

Ms. Madhura, who was riding pillion, suffered head injuries and she was taken to a hospital in Mysuru, the police added.

The police have registered a case against the driver and seized the car.
