Two persons found dead in Koppa taluk

Two persons, who reportedly went for hunting on Thursday night, were found dead near Bolapura in Koppa taluk in Chikmagalur. While one was found hanging from a tree, another reportedly died of gun shot wounds.

Hariharapura police gave the names of the deceased as Manjunath (37), son of Kittanaika of Asandi village, and L. Manjunath (38), son of Lingappa Puraji of Bolapura. Both were friends and had been to hunting together. It is suspected that Manjunath of Asandi died of misfire by his friend. Disappointed by his act, the other Manjunath is said to have committed suicide by hanging himself. The incident happened in the farm owned by B. Krishnamurthy. Hariharapura police have reached the spot.
