Three students held on charge of stealing car tyres

May 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - Hassan:

Three students have been arrested on the charge of stealing car tyres worth Rs. 3.5 lakh. The arrested were allegedly involved in six cases. They have been identified as Abhishek, a diploma student in Hassan, Arun Kumar and Sujan — both students of a PU college in Bengaluru. All three, aged about 19, are natives of Hassan city. Superintendent of Police R.K. Shahapurwad said Arun and Sujan used to visit Hassan on weekends and steal tyres with Abhishek. The trio are accused of having stolen 29 tyres.

“The aim was just to make money. But we caught them before they could sell the tyres,” the SP said.
