Three killed, five injured in accident at Bhalki

Three persons died and five were injured in a road accident near Dharajwadi, Bhalki taluk of Bidar district on Thursday night.

According to the police, the accident took place when the seven-seater rickshaw they were travelling in collided with a private bus, killing three persons on the spot.

The victims have been identified as Hanumanth.R.Hadpad (28), Dondiba.Vaijnath (20) and Devendrappa Dashrat (30) from Karadiyal and Talwad (K) village of Bhalki taluk. Five persons, including four of a family, sustained severe injuries. They were admitted at the taluk government hospital here.

Vehicular movement between Bidar and Bhalki was disrupted for some time following the accident. A case has been registered at Bhalki town police station.
