Three injured in clash

Tension prevailed at the KSRTC bus-stand in Hassan on Tuesday as some youngsters got into a fight in which three people were injured. According to the police, the injured are Sudeep (25) of K. Byadarahalli in Hassan taluk, Hemanth (23) and Sunil (20) of Arekallu Hosahalli in Hassan taluk.

Sunil and Dhanush, students of a private college in Hassan, had differences over the latter’s affair with a girl. On Tuesday, at 5 p.m., the two ran into each other at the bus-stand and got into an argument.

Dhanush informed his brother, Sudeep, about the argument. Within a few minutes, Sudeep reached the spot with another friend, Hemanth. The three assaulted Sunil, who, took out dagger from his pocket and lashed out at Sudeep and Hemanth. Sudeep suffered injuries to his chest and stomach, while Hemanth suffered a minor injury to his hand. Sunil also was seriously injured.

The KSRTC staff, other students and passengers at the bus-stand remained mute spectators.

Video recorded

One of the spectators had recorded the fight on his phone and circulated the video. In it, Sunil is seen being assaulted by two others.
