Three held in Bagappa Harijan shooting case

The district police have arrested three people from Pune suspected to be involved in the shootout of Bagappa Harijan in district court.

The police said they also managed to get important leads in the case. Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Jain has constituted a special team led by Gol Gumbaz CPI Sunil Kamble to investigate the case. The police also questioning Bagappa’s associates in Byadagihal, Almel and Devanagaon of Sindgi taluk.

Meanwhile, sources said that Bagappa has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad where he is undergoing treatment. He took five bullets when he was shot at by an unknown assailant in the district court premises on Tuesday. Four bullets have been removed.

It is said that while Bagappa’s men are keeping a close watch on the hospital, the district police has also deployed police personnel to prevent any attack on thye notorious criminal.
