Three chosen for Nadoja

S.R. Ramaswamy, M.H. Krishnaiah andP.S. Shankar

Kannada University, Hampi, will confer the Nadoja on P.S. Shankar, M.H. Krishnaiah and S.R. Ramaswamy.

Dr. Shankar has made immense contributions to the field of medical literature. Mr. Krishnaiah is a litterateur and art critic and Mr. Ramaswamy is a writer and veteran journalist.

Hi. Chi. Boralingaiah, Vice-Chancellor, told presspersons here on Monday that the award would be conferred by Governor Vajubhai Vala, Chancellor of the university, at the 23rd ‘Nudi Habba’ (convocation) to be held at ‘Navaranga’, an open air theatre on the university campus, on March 6. The number of people to be conferred Nadoja was limited to three as per the decision of the government, Mr. Boralingaiah said. R.V. Deshpande, Minister for Higher Education and Pro-Chancellor, would confer Ph.D, D.Litt degrees and M.Phil degrees. H.S. Shivaprakash, writer, and Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, would deliver the ‘Nudi Habba’ address, he added.
