Three persons were arrested with connection to murder of Harish (21), a resident of Bommanakatte locality, here on Saturday.

Sunil, Kumar and Parashuram, also residents of the same locality, are the arrested.

The police have said that all four were friends and they had been to a fair in the city on Tuesday.

A verbal spat ensued between Harish and the arrested over a petty issue.

They forcibly took Harish to the bank of the Tunga river near Kote Bheemeshwara temple, where they allegedly killed him by hitting him with a stone slab. Eyewitnesses who saw the quarrel between the four at the fair informed the police, and based on this information the arrests were made.

Sharadamma, mother of the deceased, had lodged a complaint in this connection.
