Thirty-six teams will fight it out in the state level sub junior Kabaddi championship that will be held at Nehru Stadium in Hubli from Friday.
While twenty teams have arrived in Hubli to participate in the boy’s category, sixteen teams will fight it out in the girl’s category. Flood light facility has been specially set up for the three-day event at the stadium and four courts have been prepared. The gallery set up for the purpose can accommodate 5,000 persons.
Secretary of Dharwad District Kabaddi Association Mohan Hiremani said that verification of the age and weight of the sportspersons (below 15 years & 50 kgs) was being verified. District-in-charge minister Dinesh Gundurao will inaugurate the tournament in the evening.
