Take measures to tackle water crisis, says Ambareesh

Minister for Housing and Mandya district in-charge Minister M.H. Ambareesh has directed officials to take measures to tackle drinking water crisis in the district in the summer months.

He convened a meeting of officials of various departments in Bangalore on Wednesday, the Information Department said here.

Mr. Ambareesh urged the officials to ensure there was no drinking water problem during summer in Mandya district.

The State government has already released Rs. 390 crore to tackle the issue, he said. The officials should give priority to the water crisis and should supply water through tankers if drinking water shortage was reported.
