In a bid to dispel apprehensions among students and their parents over the reported mismatch between the model question papers and actual ones in the SSLC examinations, the Government has promised to take “appropriate steps” in the interests of students.
Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday after visiting several evaluation centres, MLC and Chief Whip in the Legislative Council A.H. Shivayogi Swamy said he had already brought the matter to the notice of Primary and Secondary Education Minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri.
He said that during his visit to some evaluation centres in Kolar, Davangere and Chitradurga, the evaluators had informed him about the mismatch.
“I came to know that there was a lot of difference between the blueprint and actual papers, mainly in Social Science and Mathematics. Some questions were even out of syllabus,” he said.
Mr. Swamy said that Mr. Kageri had decided to hold a meeting of high-level officials after the completion of the evaluation process.
With regard to the regularisation of services of teachers serving in Morarji Desai Residential Schools, and Job Oriented Course lecturers, he stated that the Government was committed to meet their long-pending demands, and had already initiated a legal process in this regard.
