Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, announced in the Legislative Assembly here on Friday that the State had the best industrial atmosphere and a host of companies had lined up for investing in the State, including the Coca Cola, which was investing in Yadgir.
His observations came during his reply on the Floor of the House over the issue of development of North Karnataka. Denying that the State government was indifferent over the pulling out of the Hero MotoCorp Ltd. he said government had given land and all other concessions sought, but they were not happy.
‘None should presume that major industrial units were going out of the State for some reason which will send a wrong message’, Mr. Siddaramaiah said. On the other hand, as many as 53 pharma companies had contacted the government evincing interest in investing in Karnataka, he said.
Thanks to the conducive industrial atmosphere in the State, many other industrial units too had shown interest in investing in the State, Mr. Siddaramaiah said. They included some companies from Coimbatore. Another major player, the Honda company had already started its operations at Narasapur in Kolar district, the Chief Minister stated.
