Sports meets help developing good bond between officers and personnel at lower levels, said Inspector General of Police (Central Range) Arun Chakravarthy.

“It creates feeling of oneness among all the staff of the police force”, Mr. Chakravarthy said at the valedictory of district police sports meet at police parade ground here on Monday.

Such meets are also testimony to the mental and physical fitness of the police personnel, he opined.

Annual sports meet was an eagerly awaited event for the police force.

Participating in the meet will provide an opportunity to come out from the routine activities connected with the strenuous job, he added.

District Armed Reserve Police emerged champion of the meet.
