November 13, 2014 01:42 pm | Updated 01:42 pm IST - Kolar:

Induj Innovation, a software start-up based at Bangarpet in Kolar, is set to launch a teacher-children-parent friendly software on Friday (November 14).

Named “EasyConnect”, the solution is an Indian language based social network on mobile for teachers and parents in rural schools for the benefit of child safety & development.

Speaking to The Hindu on Thursday, Induj Innovation founder Surya Kiran claimed the solution is the first of its kind in India.

“It is more helpful for the teachers, students and the parents in present day scenario where safety of children has been a prime matter of concern”, he said.

Teachers can communicate with all parents by sending Bulk Voice Message in their local language. It could be done by using even a low-end mobile phone with no internet facility, he said.

The software is said to be useful for school teachers to send announcements, involve parents in child safety and development as well as create awareness among them.

In the initial stage, it was planned to cover entire Bangarpet taluk and later, based on the response it received the project will be spread to other areas also, Mr. Kiran said.

The launching programme is slated to held at Indira Ashraya Government Lower Primary School, Bangarpet at 12 p.m.
