As many as six persons were killed in a collision between a car and a mini truck on National Highway 206 near Ayanur village on Monday.
Police have named the deceased as Naveen, Karthick, Ashok, Marimuttu, Kiran and Keshav. All the victims hail from Brahmeshwara village in Hosanagar taluk.
The incident took place when the deceased were heading towards Shivamogga from Brahmeshwara in a car. The car has rammed into a mini truck coming from the opposite direction. The car was completely mangled in the impact.
