Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will embark on a China tour from September 9 to 14 to participate in the World Economic Forum to be held in Dalian city.

The event is expected to provide an opportunity to Mr. Siddaramaiah to exchange his views on development with executives from fast-growing companies and key decision-makers.

The meet is expected to bring together more than 1,500 participants from 90 countries to discuss various issues.

Sources in the Chief Minister’s office told The Hindu on Wednesday that Mr. Siddaramaiah would utilise the forum to showcase Karnataka and woo investors for the Global Investors’ Meet, proposed during early 2014.
