More than one lakh people took part in the 5th Shobha Yatra in Chitradurga on Saturday.

More than one lakh people took part in the 5th Shobha Yatra in Chitradurga on Saturday.

The 5th Shobha Yatra organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal to mark the immersion of Ganesh idol was held in Chitradurga city here on Saturday.

Over one lakh people took part in the rally from different parts of the State, including Davangere, Chitradurga, Shivamogga, Haveri and Chikkamagaluru districts.

The procession began at 10.30 a.m. and continued till late in the evening. Ample security arrangements were made and traffic on all major roads was diverted for the whole day.

Seers Shri Madar Chennaiah Swami, Shri Immadi Siddarameshwar Swami, Shri Kabiranand Swami and Shantaveer Swami took part.
