Shivarudrappa's medical expenses to be reimbursed

Minister of State for Kannada and Culture Umashree said the Karnataka Government will pay the entire amount incurred for his medical expenses.

The Karnataka Government has decided to reimburse all medical expenses of poet and writer G.S. Shivarudrappa who passed away here on Monday.

Minister of State for Kannada and Culture Umashree told presspersons that the writer was discharged from a private hospital here a few days ago. The government has reimbursed Rs. 4.5 lakh to the private hospital. “We will pay the entire amount incurred for his medical expenses,” she said.

The Minister has condoled the death of the writer who was awarded the Rashtrakavi title by the government in 2006.
