Seven held in Farangipet double murder case

The Dakshina Kannada police on Friday arrested seven persons allegedly involved in the murder that took place near Farangipet on the outskirts of the city on September 25.

A group of people attacked Zia and Fayaz on September 25 night. Zia died on the spot, while Fayaz succumbed to injury in a private hospital. The duo are accused in several criminal cases.

Superintendent of Police Sudheer Kumar Reddy C.H. said the accused are Naufal alias Deal Naufal, 25; Amir Sohail, 24; Mohammed Fazul, 25; Adram, 29; Michcha, 24; Taslim, 24; and Arshad, 24.

Mr. Reddy said the murder was result of gang rivalry.
