Satish Sail’s bail extended by ten days

October 16, 2013 12:49 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 09:08 pm IST - BANGALORE:

The special CBI Court, which is hearing the illegal mining cases, extended the bail granted to Karwar MLA Satish Sail until October 25 on Tuesday. The Court had earlier granted bail to Mr. Sail on October 10 so that he could attend to his ailing father who has been diagnosed with cancer. However, the court mandated that two police escorts accompany him at all times.

Tuesday’s extension was granted after the independent MLA’s attorneys submitted that his father’s condition continues to be critical. One of the main allegations against him is that he was behind the disappearance of iron ore that had been impounded by the forest department and stored at the Belekeri port.
