May 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - KALABURAGI:

Leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha M. Mallikarjun Kharge has slammed officials of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) for providing misleading information and the inordinate delay in completion of the projects in the district.

Presiding over a vigilance committee review meeting here on Saturday, he said that the managing director of RVNL had failed to utilise available funds. “You [RVNL officials] always lie and give wrong information about the progress of the projects,” Mr. Kharge said.

He also took serious note of the absence of the senior officials of Railways, including the Divisional Railway Managers of Solapur division of Central Railways, Divisional Railway Managers of Secunderabad and Guntakal divisions of South Central Railways, in the meeting.
