In a bid to bring pressure on the party, Karnataka State Youth Congress president Rizwan Arshad on Thursday threatened to quit the post for denying ticket for him and other youth members of the party to contest the ensuing elections to the State Legislative Assembly.

Sources in the party told The Hindu that Mr. Arshad submitted his resignation to the post to the All India Youth Congress president Rajiv Satav.

But his resignation has not been accepted.
