Taking out time for a brief chat with prespersons, the singing sensation said unlike the previous years, development of information technology and communication has enabled artists and budding talents to display their skills on a host of forums.
There is more exposure for such talents through various mediums which was not available to artists in the past.
Mr. Mahadevan was here to perform live at the valedictory of the three-day ‘AURA 2015’, Gogte Institute of Technology’s cultural festival here on Saturday evening.
Given that every talented artist cannot become a legend, there are still wide-spread opportunities for everyone in the growing music industry. It is right time for young musicians to pursue career in music. Once could choose from a range of options such as singing/instrumental and perform professionally, teaching, sound editing and recording, composing, music arrangement, music software development, provide virtual music for internet, games and programmes/video documentaries, theatre, music production, sound technologist, radio jockeying and so on.
Radio
Stating that the power of radio was not fully understood in India yet, Mr. Mahadevan said that radio was poised to become the most powerful medium for promotion of music in the country in next five years and it would also open up a host opportunities for young talents.

Later, Mr. Mahadevan and his team performed non-stop for more than two hours. The jubilant crowd cheered in appreciation of every song he sang.
