Aam Aadmi Party leader from Karnataka Prithvi Reddy, who drove down Arvind Kejriwal to the Jindal institute from the airport, said the Delhi Chief Minister refused to avail himself of the security arrangements made by the police.

“This aam aadmi became a khaas aadmi here and the police informed him that he was entitled for ‘Z’ category security. However, he refused the security and opted to go by my car,” Mr. Reddy said.

He said the SUV in which Mr. Kejriwal went to the institute on Tumakuru Road was exempted from paying the fee at the toll gates on airport road and Tumakuru Road. “The toll gate personnel refused to collect the charges from us while going to the institute. However, on the way back, I paid,” Mr. Reddy said.
