Ranga Shankara, Bengaluru, will stage five plays here from September 13 as part of its ‘Loka Sanchara’ programme. Three of them are for children. These plays will be staged at Srujana Auditorium located on the campus of Karnatak College.
Arundhati Nag, theatre artiste and managing trustee of Ranga Shankara, and Suredranath, its director, told presspersons here on Saturday that 86,000 seconds , Gumma Bantu Gumma and Buy One, Get One Free would be meant for schoolchildren while Maryade Prashne would be for students aged above 18. Dweepa is the other play.
Tickets have been priced at Rs. 20 for the children and Rs. 50 for adults.
Mr. Surendranath said that the main objective of programme was to ensure that the best of the plays staged at Ranga Shankara in Bengaluru were made available for the people in other parts of the State.
86,000 seconds would be staged at 11 a.m. on September 13. The same play would be staged at 11 a.m. the next day too for children and at 7 p.m. for adults. Maryade Prashne would be staged at 11 a.m. on September 15 for college students and at 7 p.m. for the general audience. Gumma Bantu Gumma would be staged at 11 a.m. for children and at 7 p.m. for the general audience on September 16.
Buy One, Get One Free would be staged at 11 a.m. for children and at 7 p.m. for the general audience on September 17. Dweepa would be staged at 7 p.m. on September 18 for the general audience.
