The rally taken out here today on the occasion of World Health Day turned out to be a mere formality, thanks to the lukewarm response from the public.

As usual, the Department of Health and Family Welfare in association with the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences roped in students and employees of the two institutions and a few from other medical colleges to take out the rally. The rallyists sported placards with messages on preventive healthcare, vaccination for children, epidemic diseases, etc.

The rally was flagged off by Feroz N. Sait, MLA (Belagavi North). District Health and Family Welfare Officer Appasaheb Naratti and other officials participated in the rally.
