The police has proposed to ban private vehicles to Chamundi Hills during the Dasara festivities. Private vehicles will be banned from going to Chamundi Hills from September 22 to 24 and from September 28 to October 2 between 6 a.m. and 9.30 p.m.

A. Subramanyeshwara Rao, City Police Commissioner, said the Chamundi Temple authorities had agreed to their proposal. He said the KSRTC is expected to make arrangements for bus travel to the hill-top. Visitors can park their vehicles on the grounds adjoining the helipad from where the KSRTC is expected to ply buses at short intervals to the hilltop.
