MARCH 2015: Pedestrian Kuppaswamy (75) was killed on the spot when a speeding garbage truck belonging to BBMP knocked him down near Shoolay Circle.

MARCH 2015: A BBMP pourakarmika was killed and another injured when a garbage truck hit a compound wall, which collapsed on them in K.R. Puram.

JULY 2013: A bio-technology engineer was killed on the spot when his two-wheeler rammed a BBMP garbage truck parked on Old Madras Road.

DECEMBER 2012: Three engineering students were killed when their motorcycle crashed into a parked garbage truck in Hulimavu.

SEPTEMBER 2012: A BBMP garbage truck driver was killed in a pile-up involving six heavy vehicles, including five that were ferrying waste, on Old Madras Road.
