The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday adjourned till Thursday the hearing on a public interest litigation petition which has questioned expenditure incurred for organising the diamond jubilee celebration of the Vidhana Soudha.
Petitioner, Aravinda S.N. has termed earmarking of crores of rupees of public money for the celebration as a “wasteful” expenditure.
A Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice H.G. Ramesh and Justice P.S. Dinesh Kumar, before whom the petition came up for hearing, adjourned the hearing till Thursday.
