In view of frequent accidents and traffic snarls occurring near Vinayaka Circle in Ripponpet village, near here, owing to haphazard parking of vehicles, the district administration has issued guidelines for the parking of vehicles in the area with immediate effect.
In a press release issued here recently, V.P. Ikkeri, Deputy Commissioner, has said that on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays of the week, the vehicles should be parked on the left side of the roads along the Shivamogga road, Sagar road, Tirthahalli road and Hosanagar roads in the village.
On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays, the vehicles should be parked on the right side of the same roads along the notified stretches, the Deputy Commissioner has said in the release.
