Nine-year-old girl dies, dengue suspected

A nine-year-old girl from Hagare in Belur taluk is suspected to have died due to dengue in a private hospital in Mysore.

Karunya, a Class IV student in a private school in Belur town, was suffering from high fever. She was admitted to a private hospital in Hassan earlier this week. She was shifted to a private hospital in Mysore on Wednesday.

The Health Department officers are yet to confirm if the death was due to dengue. Her mother, Renuka, also suffering from fever, is being treated in a private hospital in Hassan.
