Narayanpur dam reaches full reservoir level

The Narayanapur reservoir across the Krishna in Suprur taluk of Yadgir district has been filled to the brim and the dam reached the full reservoir limit of 492.25 metres on Friday.

The inflow was at the rate of 55,000 cusecs.

Tata Shivan, engineer, said that they had started discharging water from the reservoir. The outflow was at the rate of 55,000 cusecs. Inflow has been increasing following the discharge of water from the Almatti dam owing to heavy rain in its catchment areas and also in the neighbouring areas in Maharashtra, Mr. Shivan added.
